Overview
The Miami Valley Juvenile Rehabilitation Center is a Community
Correctional Facility (CCF) established as part of
the Ohio Department of Youth Services. We are located off State Route 35 in Xenia, Ohio. The facility is part
of the Greene County Juvenile Justice Complex which also includes the Greene
County Juvenile Court and the Greene County Juvenile Detention Center. The facility opened
in October of 2000.
MVJRC is a thirty (30) bed facility accepting both male and female felony
offenders referred and placed in lieu of commitment to the Ohio Department of
Youth Services. Male bed space totals twenty- two (22) in three (3) separate
living units. Female bed space totals eight (8) in one (1) unit. Rooms are
single occupancy and meet all state building code requirements. The average
daily population in 2005 was twenty-five (25).
MVJRC is one of thirteen (13) CCF’s currently operating in
the state of Ohio. MVJRC is a
multi-county facility serving a consortium of ten (10) counties in the
region: Adams, Brown, Champaign, Clark, Fayette, Greene, Highland, Logan, Madison, and Union counties.
Our services have also been extended to additional counties including Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Miami, and Shelby.
